  • Bravewords Live

    True Stories Told Well.

    An evening of live storytelling held on the last Sunday of the month, hosted by Rob Carlton & Adrienne Ferreira with special guests.

  • Memoir/Fiction Masterclass

    10-week course in person and live online at Avoca Beach, starts 10 April.
    For writers working on bigger projects, these intensive workshops break down obstacles and help develop your work to the next stage.

  • Telling True Stories Writing Course

    6-week course in person & live online on Tuesday evenings, beginning 11 June.

    The perfect introduction to the powerful world of creative nonfiction writing, exploring memoir, biography, travel writing and more. Practice writing stories drawn from real life while gaining creative skills and individual mentoring.

  • Writing Coaching

    Sessions to help you focus, find clarity in your story and develop your writing skills so that you can create a vivid and compelling narrative to share with others.

  • 5 Lands Walk Winter Festival

    Held each year in June, this series of cultural events encourages family, friends and the wider community to celebrate life, have fun and connect to our deep Aboriginal history, settlement and who we are today.

  • Rose Scott Women Writers Festival

    In September, Bravewords partnered with the Rose Scott Women Writers’ Festival in Sydney for their 10th anniversary, presented by The Women’s Club.

  • Central Coast Writes 2023

    A community project that develops true stories from local residents and connects them with emerging artists to illustrate.

  • When These Mountains Speak

    Held in June 2023, this inter-cultural project shared diverse stories of farming families who live in the valleys and mountains of the Central Coast.

  • Sea of Faces

    Exhibited at The Entrance in March 2023, Sea of Faces was part of Place Maker, a free arts festival presented by Central Coast Council and a mob of talented local creatives.

  • Coastlives

    In partnership with Bravewords and Central Coast Council, this year Laycock Street Community Theatre presented Coastlives, 3 live storytelling events where everyday people told incredible true stories you don’t hear every day.

  • 5 Lands Walk Festival

    Held in June 2023 the series of cultural events brought family, friends and the wider community together to celebrate life, have fun and connect to our deep Aboriginal history, settlement and who we are today.

  • Power Writing on the Peninsula
