Advanced Masterclass
For writers working on bigger projects, these intensive workshops break down obstacles and help develop your work to the next stage. With a focus on structure and voice, this course sets writing deadlines, delivers individual feedback and offers valuable strategies to set you on the path to completion.
Wednesday evening, fortnightly, 6pm-9pm, beginning 10 April in person and online at Avoca Beach.

Telling True Stories

Write compelling stories drawn from real life
This course explores the powerful world of creative nonfiction, including memoir, biography, travel writing, and more.
Over six weeks you'll practice writing stories drawn from real life while gaining inspiration, tuition, and creative tips from a professional writer.
Along with readings and discussion, you'll also have the chance to workshop your writing in a supportive atmosphere and receive individual feedback.
Make headway on several stories, and gain the techniques and confidence to keep writing.

Do you have a true story you’d like to set down? An event; a discovery; a moment in time?
In this 4-week course you'll explore how writers play with language, imagery and scenes to create compelling short stories alive with meaning and resonance.
Discover what it is you want to say. Learn how to weave together facts, feelings and reflections to develop your own 2,000 word story that will speak to others.
